Peer Review

All manuscripts in the category "Forschungsbeitrag / Research Article" undergo a double-blind peer review in which at least two independent experts review the text. The reviewers do not know the names of the authors. Likewise, the authors do not learn the name of the reviewers who have reviewed their article.

If the reviewers' reports contradict each other, the manuscript is forwarded to further reviewers. This decision rests with the editors-in-chief.

Manuscripts in the categories „Kommentar / Commentary" and „Rezension / Book Review" undergo an editorial board peer review: The editorial board reviews the manuscript, if necessary in cooperation with members of the scientific advisory board, and decides whether to accept the manuscript into the editorial process on the basis of its thematic fit and scientific quality.
